Serenade of the Seas Cruise
January 28th -February 4th 2006
Before boarding the Royal Caribbean ship Serenade of the Seas we spent two days in Caroline & San Juan Puerto Rico. We visited the El San Juan Resort & Casino, old San Juan town and the Spanish fortress El Moro
Our first Port of Call was Charlotte Amalie Harbor, St. Thomas U.S.V.I.
While on St. Thomas we spent the day at Magan's beach, one of the most beautiful and unspoiled in the Caribbean
Our second Port of Call was Philipsburg, St. Maarten Where I lived out out a long held dream of sailing on a America's Cup 12 meter racing yacht, one from Canada called True North IV in a race against Stars & Stripes, the American 12 meter
Our third Port of Call was Antigua, British West Indies, my wife and i went to Miller's beach
Our fourth Port of Call was St. Lucia
After the ship left port that evening we traveled down the coast, a sunset cocktail party was held on the bow under the Pitons, two towering peaks, which are the symbol on St. Lucia's national flag
Our fifth Port of Call was Bridgetown, Barbados, with a driving tour of the island and its rugged eastern Atlantic coast. This Island was the closest we got to South America and the Equator
